4story lagg spikes/stuttering problem (HELP)

I have permanent lagg spikes/stuttering with my client. It occurs exactly every 6 seconds. I tried turning down the graphics, but that wouldn't help. I play on Windows 7 with a Geforce GTX 750ti and i7-2600 with 8GB of ram. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I just fixed it! Incredible! So there was a similar problem with Win 10. You had to fix it by putting d3d9.dll into your game folder (youtube.com/watch?v=ue4aN3a-XjA) . But the first file didn't work for me. I had to use d3d9_1.dll from the library here. Not it works for me.

Edit: Ok now it came back again. But it still feels a bit more smoother now.
Edit2: The game is now initially smooth, when I start it. But over time the small laggs come back. But they are still only every 6 seconds.

Hello @Paddy369,

I'm sorry to hear about your issue. Have you tried reinstalling the game? If you haven't, make sure that no leftover file remains in your computer before installing it again.
But if you have with no positive result, please give a try to the following solutions:

- Try to open the game with different compatibility modes (you can find this option on "properties" of 4Ancient.exe)
- Open the in-game options and make sure you have enabled the “Force Dedicated GPU” option.
- Try to limit the FPS in-game to 65 (you will find this option to the in-game settings)
- Clean your computer's registry files (we highly recommend a program called "CCleaner") or you can use any similar program of your liking.

Adding d3d9.dll files on our game directory is no longer necessary since now 4Ancient has native support and whatsoever this fix was meant for Windows 10 lags, not Windows 7.

In any case, it is recommended and we urge our players to upgrade to Windows 10 to not run into problems such as this one.

unfortunately i have the same issue i tryied reinstall the game 2 times but nothig...still presist i have win 10 gtx 980 and i 6700, i got hig fps drop from 64 to 7, i wrote here cause i think it's useless making another 3d, any solutions or tips? actually i cannot play 4 ancient unfortunately this problem is very annoyng.

have almost the same problem. I have win 7 and when i wanna start the game notrhing happens.

Yes, I still have the problem. Reinstalling isn't necessary, since I downloaded the game 4 days ago and I have it since then. Also changing compatability didn't help me either. Ingame FPS and graphic settings are useless too. I hope we can find another solution for this.

i reinstalled the game yesterday and now works fine but too early to sing victory, i'll upgrade this 3d if i'll have some troubles again
